Harnandipuram Township INR 10,000 Crore Project Moves Ahead with 490-Hectare Land Acquisition Plan

Committee Formed for Land Acquisition
To oversee the acquisition of land, District Magistrate Indra Vikram Singh has formed a six-member committee. This committee, composed of key officials from the tehsil and GDA, will supervise the process of surveying and procuring land from eight villages. The primary objective is to ensure a smooth acquisition process for the 490 hectares, a vital part of the Harnandipuram township development.
Land Acquisition Details and Village Involvement
The land required for the township covers an area of 521 hectares, with 501 hectares being under acquisition. The Greater Noida Development Authority currently owns 11 hectares. The majority of the land needed will come from villages like Nangla Ferozepur, which contributes 247.8 hectares, and Shamsher, providing 124 hectares. Other significant contributions include Shahpur Morta, Champat Nagar, and Bhanera Khurd, with smaller parcels from Bhowapur and Morti.
Funding Strategy for the Project
The state government has committed to funding 50% of the total INR 10,000 crore project under the CM Urban Expansion New City Promotion Scheme. The remaining funds will be covered by the Greater Noida Development Authority. This public-private collaboration aims to drive substantial growth in the region, enhancing infrastructure and creating new opportunities for local residents.
Detailed Project Report (DPR) and Private Sector Involvement
Simultaneously, the GDA is moving forward with the preparation of a Detailed Project Report (DPR). This crucial document will outline the blueprint for the township’s development. To aid in its creation, the GDA has invited private firms to submit proposals, and a dedicated committee will evaluate these submissions. The selected firm will then begin work on the DPR, with compensation for services based on a per-hectare rate.
