Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana: PMAY List 2022-2023

The PMAY is a practical scheme that the central government launched. It was felt that the poor needed affordable housing. The system is for both rural and urban populations. The scheme's objective has been to provide two crore cheap houses to the poor living in urban and rural areas. The timeline is 31st March 2022.

The ultimate goal of the scheme has been to uplift the living conditions of people who are deprived of good financial backing and dignified living conditions. These people needed timely aid from the government of India, and it was felt that the government had to take the initiatives to bring about a positive change in these people's lives.

The prime focus of PMAY Urban is to provide better homes to the poor in urban areas. The PMAY Gramin aims at providing these facilities to the people in the rural areas of India. This scheme is blended with other projects as follows:

  • It was to ensure that there were toilets in the housings.
  • The system was merged with SaubhagyaYojana to safeguard the houses' electricity connections.
  • UjjwalaYojana was merged to provide LPG connections to these housing units.
