Ayyappanthangal, Chennai

Ayyappanthangal or Iyyappanthangal is a town or rather a panchayati village which is located in the Kundrathur Panchayat Union in Chennai metropolitan. The place is exactly located on the Mount Poonamallee Road which is at a distance of twenty kilometres from the Ford Saint George. Iyyappanthangal is connected to rest of the city by rail route and the nearest stations are Guindy and Avadi. The Porur junction road is about two kilometres from Ayyappanthangal and this is the road route to the town. Buses from Iyyappanthangal bus terminus leaves for places like Koyambedu, Sommangalam, Kovalam, Sunguvachattiram, Anna Salai, Tambaram, Kundrathu, Red Hills, Parrys Corner, T Nagar etc.
