Chengalpattu, Chennai

Chengalpattu is known as Chingleput and it is situated on the GST road in the Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu. This is the second largest township in the Kanchipuram district after Kanchipuram itself. Chengalpattu can be accessed via rail routes and the station is the Chengalpattu railway station which is one of the major stations in the Southern Railway. One of the famous landmarks in Chengalpattu is the Chengalpattu government hospital and it has an adjoined medical college as well. Chengalpattu is one of the most important commercial centers in the region. The Chennai airport lies at a distance of thirty eight kilometers.
