Korattur, Chennai

Korattur is located in the western part of Chennai and falls under the Ambattur Zone of Chennai Corporation which is located on the Chennai-Bangalore or Chennai-Mumbai railroad at a distance of twelve kilometres from Chennai. Korattur is an important part of Anna Nager because of its close proximity to each other. In the earlier days, Korattur was a calm village which, over the years, turned into a bustling urban township as a result of the expansion of the city of Chennai and due to the recurrent industrial development. Korattur can be accessed by the Korattur Railway Station which is a part of Chennai Suburban Railway.
