Urapakkam, Chennai

Urapakkam is located in the Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu and is a major census town. It is a suburb of Chennai and it falls along the National Highway 32 which is also the GST or the Grand Southern Trunk Road. It was an underdeveloped region which has seen a major economic growth and infrastructural development in the last few years. Commercial and residential buildings have sprawled showing the demography as more and more people have shifted from the main city to the suburbs. Also the National Highway makes Urapakkam as one of the easily accessible areas and the MTC ply in the region connecting it to the major localities around.
