Vandalur, Chennai

Vandalur is a residential locality in the southern part of Chennai and is popularly known as the Entrance Gateway of the Beautiful Chennai city. Vandalur houses the Arignar Anna Zoological Park which has rare species of flora and fauna. The Vandalur neighbourhood can be accessed by Vandalur Railway Station which is a part of the Chennai Suburban Railway Network. It lies approximately six kilometres at the south of Tambaram and the adjacent neighbourhoods are Peerkankaranai, Perugalatur, Mudichur and Manivakkam. Vandalur is a junction which connects the Grand Southern Trunk Road and the Old Mamallapuram Road. The Outer Ring Road is also an eminent corridor for connecting Vandalur to other areas.
