Gurgaon, also known as Gurugram, lies in the Indian state of Haryana. It comes under the Delhi NCR. It lies twenty miles from Delhi. Generating a good GDP and ranking third in that Gurgaon has witnessed rapid urbanisation in the past few decades. It started with the setting up of Maruti Suzuki plant in Gurgaon three decades ago. It lies in the southeastern region of the state. Gurgaon is a well-planned region now and is home to many tall skyscrapers. It is divided into some wards which are further divided into blocks. The infrastructure in Gurgaon is administered by HUDA (Haryana urban development authority). There are many popular gardens that add to the beauty of this corporate hub. The HUDA garden, Tau Devi Lal park and Biodiversity Park are some important parks in this area. There are two stadiums as well in Gurgaon they are Nehru stadium and Tau Devi Lal stadium. Ranking third in the per capita income this city is home to many real estate companies, integrated townships and multinational companies. Many international companies have their Indian headquarters here. There are some twenty-six shopping complexes and malls in Gurgaon. It is looked after by the municipal corporation of Gurgaon. The city is deteriorating in terms of crime in the past few years. Provisions are made to keep a check on that. Gurgaon has its own board of education that governs the school in this region. The Haryana board of school education takes care of the system of education in schools in Gurgaon. Apart from that, many other schools that are affiliated with the CBSE as well as ICSE board instead. The national highway 8 passes through Gurgaon. It is also well by the northern railways and Delhi metro railway line that corrects Gurgaon to different parts of Delhi making commutation easy and smooth.
