Churchgate, Mumbai

Churchgate is located in South Mumbai. In the 18th century, Mumbai was walled city as this city has 3 great gates. Church Gate was named after St. Thomas Cathedral, Mumbai and considered as one of Gate. The city walls have been torn down for aiding the expansion program in the mid 19th century. Churchgate is major railway terminus connected on Western line in Mumbai Suburban Railway. Some of the famous schools and colleges located here are Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, Government Law College, Mumbai, K.C College, Jai Hind College and many others.
